Are you performing at your best?
Want to know if your diet and lifestyle are providing you with what you need to perform at your best? Our Executive Health Check reviews your body’s ability to cope with stresses and checks your levels of key nutrients involved in energy production, cognitive performance and long term health. An ideal adjunct to your annual medical check, results allow your Nutritionist to put a diet and lifestyle programme together to support and optimise your physical and mental health.
Coping with stress?
Our bodies cope differently with stress, whether caused by work pressure, stress at home, lack of sleep, a nutrient-deficient diet or multiple other causes. While we can adapt and cope with much of what life throws our way, our coping mechanisms can become stretched after prolonged busy periods. Many of us are used to being very busy and may feel that this is ‘normal’, although our bodies may tell a different story. Prolonged physical or mental stress can result in elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Elevated cortisol is linked to many health issues including cardiovascular disease (still the leading cause of death in men and women in Ireland), digestive issues, impaired memory and concentration, weight gain, disturbed sleep and low mood.
An adrenal stress test measures your levels of the stress hormone cortisol over a day and shows how well your body is managing the levels of stress in your life.
Optimal energy, drive and focus supporting long term health
Your body needs certain nutrients to function properly and maintain good health. A busy lifestyle can increase your requirements of these nutrients and make it more difficult to get what you need to maintain good health and perform at your best. How and what you eat can make a dramatic difference to how you look, feel and perform both in and outside the workplace.
Our comprehensive nutritional health screen test assesses the key nutrients needed for you to perform at your best and show if your body is being fuelled adequately.
The test includes
Minerals required for metabolism, energy production, stress management and hormone production, including iron, zinc, selenium, magnesium, manganese and copper
Antioxidant vitamins needed for disease prevention, immune support and to promote healthy ageing and skin health
Levels of essential fats, required for cognitive function, supporting how our brain processes and stores information and also to manage inflammation
Vitamin D levels, needed to support muscle function, maintenance of healthy bones and support for disease prevention. Statistics show that the majority of Irish people have low levels of this critical nutrient.
Test results are reviewed in an individual appointment with one of our nutrition team and a plan put in place to support you. For more information contact our Corporate Nutrition Team on 01 4020777 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
